Ten years ago, a significant conflict led to a portion of our church leaving to form a new congregation, taking with them many families and teenagers who had grown up in our camps. It was a heartbreaking loss. However, last December, the leadership of that church approached our pastors to seek forgiveness and full reconciliation. This led to a special prayer of blessing.
But the story doesn’t end there. As we were organizing worship for the conference, I received a recommendation for a worship team. When I saw the members’ names, I realized it was made up of some of those same kids who had grown up in our camps a decade ago. What a joy it is to see how God works and even allows us to see the fruit of our ministry! And it’s such a powerful reminder that even the most severe conflicts can be resolved, and reconciliation is always possible. Please join us in prayer for peace between Russia and Ukraine. We trust in God’s power to bring peace and reconciliation, even in the most impossible circumstances.
