One of the hopes coming out of this year’s conference was to strengthen local connections—encouraging leaders to build regional communities that support one another and grow together throughout the year. While some regions already have rhythms of spring and autumn gatherings, others are just beginning to take their first steps.
In Central Russia, it’s been quite a while since we had any extended training events. The need was clearly voiced during the regional meeting at the conference and a camp attending a CCI event for the first time eagerly offered to host a seminar! Ekaterina, a leader from Nizhny Novgorod, shared afterwards:
“It was such a blessing. Now I finally understand how things should be done. I wish we came earlier.”
She’s now fully involved in planning the seminar at her camp — joined by other local leaders who are taking responsibility for different areas. Even more encouraging, some of our key leaders have also stepped in to help and support the process, making this event possible.
In recent years, efforts to organize training in this region led only to small one-day meetings. After the conference, one of my personal goals was to support and pray for the first steps — and now, we’re seeing the beginning of something new. Leaders from different camps are coming together with fresh energy and shared vision. What a joy to see God at work through unity and willing hearts!
