July was one of the highlights of the year as we spent time with family in Moscow and attended the Moscow Bible Church camp. My last newsletter was sent right from the camp at the very beginning, so now I have more blessings to share.

One of my favorite parts of the camp days was our morning meetings, where counselors shared about the dynamics of their groups. One morning, Artyom spoke about our older boys’ group, which was full of strong-willed leaders and was quite hard to reach at first. But that very day the boys themselves asked to hold an evening of testimonies. The room was silent—no comments, no distractions—as they listened intently. Many were even moved to tears as they heard how God had worked through challenges and brought redemption. It was a clear picture of God at work and created space for deeper questions and unique conversations.
My role was to care for the team, helping them unite and be encouraged. One of the events I was responsible for was a long-standing camp tradition—the celebration of the “equator” (the halfway point of camp). It’s always a meaningful time of reflection and encouragement for the team. We looked back at how God was working, were reminded of our mission, shared a meal together, sang worship songs, and reflected on where we were in reaching the goals of our camp. Each team member was recognized for their unique contribution, and we prayed for one another and for the children by name.
