Every Monday this summer, we held a Prayer 9:38 gathering for Christian camp leaders, lifting up both the Association’s camps and others we came to know about. Altogether, we prayed for over 70 camps from the Baltics to Middle Asia.
Later, after one of the camps we had prayed for was over, the director shared this testimony from a teenager:
“After the Christian camp, I realized God was changing me—I stopped using hurtful words and began treating my family with more love and respect. Later, at a non-Christian camp, most of the teens cursed, drank, and smoked. When they asked why I didn’t, I explained that I follow Jesus, read the Bible, and had even brought my Bible with me. They became curious and started reading it too. I prayed before meals in front of everyone, and even prayed for those who were sick—and some said they felt better afterwards. After camp I felt even more inspired to serve God.”
Stories like this remind us how prayer and camps bring lasting transformation.
Another director joined one of our final prayer calls and thanked us deeply. He said our prayers were an unseen part of their ministry, but he felt the impact. His words reminded me of you—your unseen prayers and support make it possible for me to encourage, equip, and care for camping leaders.
