This year our conference theme is BRIDGES.
A Christian camp can be a bridge, helping kids and teenagers connect with God. And as Christians, we are called to build bridges too: to be ambassadors of reconciliation, to bring peace, and to help people find their way back to God.
I’m looking forward to meeting new camps, that attend the conference for the first time, and also reconnecting with camps we’ve known and walked alongside for many years. And I’m especially grateful that we can do it face to face, not only through messages and Zoom calls, but with real conversations, shared meals, and prayer together in the same room.
I’m also grateful we’ll have time with leaders from Middle Asia as we discuss the regional staff training workshop in May and strengthen collaboration across different regions.
During the conference, I will also have the privilege of leading a round table for camp directors. They will share their experience and bring real cases where they need input and help. Together we will look for solutions, have productive discussions, and pray for one another. It’s the first time we’re doing something like this, and I would really value your prayers.
On a personal note, another special joy for me this year is that I’m coaching a new program director, Irina, who has served on our team in many different roles and is now stepping into a leading position. It’s a big step of faith and growth for her, and it’s a joy to see her take responsibility and lead the team. Please pray for wisdom, courage, and God’s strength for her as she grows into this role.
