Two participants from Turkmenistan are hoping to attend our regional staff training workshop in Kyrgyzstan. Their church can cover the registration fee, but travel costs remain a serious obstacle.
What makes this opportunity especially important is the need behind it. Their pastor writes that there is “a great need” to prepare leaders and workers for youth ministry and explains that opportunities like this matter deeply because holding Christian seminars or conferences inside the country is quite a challenge. He also says that trained workers are urgently needed as “one desire is not enough.”
These people are already serving faithfully. One of them is involved in worship and youth ministry, creating spaces where young people can invite friends and build relationships that may later lead them to Christ. The other has served in children’s ministry for years and helps with youth and women’s ministry. Their pastor believes that what they receive at the workshop will not stay with them alone, but will become a blessing in their church, in their homes, and in their region.
We have already received generous gifts from a camp in the Far East and from a camp director in Moscow. We still need to raise $600.
