Every Monday, we have open prayer meetings where Christian camp leaders share both their needs and their gratitude.
In the middle of the summer, we prayed for more than 20 camps serving children, youth, and families in just one week. Yesterday, we prayed for camps starting this week that are spread from Turkmenistan to Belarus, and from Latvia to the South of Russia.
As camp directors share their prayer requests, several common needs become clear: children’s hearts, safety and health, enough counselors, wisdom and unity for leaders, and God’s protection in difficult circumstances.
It is encouraging to see that these prayers are not just formal updates. For many leaders, knowing that others are praying for them is a real support.
Sergey from Omsk wrote after their family camp:
“Alexandra, good afternoon! I would like to thank you, and everyone who took part, for praying for our family camp.
This year there were many worries, concerns, and difficulties during the preparation and in the first stages of the camp. But the Lord was working within our team and through us. Each day was filled with joy and blessing: we felt God’s presence, and it covered all our concerns.
It was not easy, and at times it was even difficult. But once again, we were convinced that our camp this year became unique because of God’s work and your prayers.

As the camp season is slowly winding down, our prayers are shifting as well. We continue to pray for the camps that are still ahead, for strength, safety, wisdom, and open hearts. And we also pray for the camps that have already taken place: that the seeds planted in the hearts of children, teenagers and adults would continue to grow and bear fruit.
